Introducing Mason Bull

October 23, 2020 | Written by Mason Bull

I am super excited to join the PlanIT Geo™ team as a GIS and Natural Resources Technician! I am going to be based out of Denver, CO, where I recently moved from southern Idaho. I am working for PG doing Quality Control/ Quality Assurance for Urban Tree Canopy Assessments, and generally helping out around the GIS team.

Before I started at PG, I was a Fellow for the NASA DEVELOP Program where I led remote sensing teams working to solve geospatial problems for local governments and land use government agencies. In my time there I found that I have great excitement for forestry and seeing it connected to GIS. My time there also had me dive deep into the inner workings of GIS, as I was on the geoinformatics support team for the program. These two experiences melded themselves tremendously to help me find a place here at PG. I now have an opportunity to explore new applications of the work I love to do and I get to see the results in cities around the country.

As an Idaho native, I moved to Colorado in late August of 2020 and have been finding so many exciting new things to do around the state. I’m excited to get out and explore what Colorado has to offer with my girlfriend in our new found outdoor hobbies.

I look forward to getting to know our clients and partners as I settle into my new role at PlanIT Geo™.
